Upcoming move of part of the published material housed at 395 Wellington and at the Gatineau Preservation Centre

In order to improve the storage conditions of some of Library and Archives' collections, they will be moved to more appropriate facilities. This will affect the delivery of the following collections.

Preservation copies
As of February 1, 2010, certain items from the Preservation Collection will be retrieved only once a week on Tuesday.

Rare books
During the period between February 1 and March 31, 2010, the Rare Book Collection will be moved to the LAC Preservation Centre in Gatineau and will not be available for consultation.

Retrieval Time

Library and Archives Canada would like to inform its users, that effective 4th August 2009, the retrieval time for published material will now be 60 to 90 minutes. This measure is necessary due to preparations for the upcoming move of part of our collection. We are sorry for the inconveniences that it may cause you.

Due to maintenance, the Library and Archives (LAC) IT applications, infrastructure and networks will not be available between 6:00AM and noon (eastern time) on the dates below.
