Contemporary Accounts: The Montreal Riots, 1900

"Harmony is restored: McGill apologizes and Laval gives it a fraternal embrace. Principal Peterson and His Grace Mgr. Bruchesi seal the peace pact after a peaceful parade of our French Canadian students: the Laval students did not play any part in yesterday's disgraceful display, which they sought to prevent and which they repudiate".
